Took a walk this morning just to stretch my legs and was surprised to see so much ice on the ocean this morning. Just two days ago that green ice was either snow or cold sea.

It looked pretty solid this close to the shore....

But then I came to the end of the pier and looked again. The surface was a mixture of snow, ice, and slush. I couldn't see the water through it but I could see it gently rolling with the surf so it wasn't solid by any means. You can see how far the ice-slush extends beyond the pier too.
