Hey! Thanks for stopping by.
Have a look around....

I am Woodge, the master of this domain, and my main purpose here is to amuse myself. As you will discover, I have a boundless capacity to amuse myself ad nauseum. I use WOODGECOM to doodle with HTML code, post copious amounts of digital pix, spout off on whatever whimsy strikes me, and generally just futz about, being clever. Yes, I know... it's all quite wonderful. You can barely contain your excitement. I can tell. And as scattershot as MY BRAIN might be, I've somehow organized WOODGECOM into several enchanting main areas:

Firstly, my meaty HOME PAGE includes a subset of WOODGECOM links, a quick peak at my most recent media consumption and the nauseating blather of my BLOG (i.e. the weblog). The BLOG contains random posts from the "What I did today" variety to entirely obscure musings, quotes and links. Commenting was available at one time but I grew tired of it and had it removed. Regardless, I do enjoy feedback on anything you find within this site. I'm sure you'll find the site to be absolutely fascinating. Or annoying. Whatever. You're probably tired already. Why don't you go lie down for a while?

MOVIES. Can't get enough of 'em. I am a fiend for movies and will try to see as many on the big screen as I can get away with. But as I am blissfully shackled in marriage and the father of both a man-cub in the bloom of toddlerhood and darling little girl destined to worship me, I don't escape into the dark confines of a theatre as much as I used to. Drat! Still, I manage to brave rude cellphone eejits and seat kickers now and then and subsequently jot down brief, no-nonsense, non-plot-spoiling MOVIE NOTES. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

BOOKS. If I'm a fiend for movies, then I am a monstrous, slavering, wild beast for books. I am always reading, always browsing, and always curious about what other people are reading. I buy more books than I can possibly read. Not only do I revel in the physically grueling activity of reading, I love to just look at books, be surrounded by them, smell them. Ah, the divine aroma of a freshly opened book! The feel of a hardcover, the suppleness of a paperback, the heft of weighty fiction.... [pant pant pant]   Anyway, some brief thoughts on the latest books I've read are posted on my BOOK NOTES page. I've also posted a MASTER LIST of every book I've read, my recent READING LISTS and some oh-so-clever BOOKISH QUOTES. Read a good book lately? I'd love to hear about it. Please DROP ME A LINE.

The PHOTOS section is 98% filled with by my adorable family. So, if you're not related to me (oh joy! oh rapture!) or a friend, you're going to find this section pretty dull (as opposed to the scintillating wit abounding in other areas of the site.) Up to November 2006 I was using a 3.3 megapixel Toshiba PDR-M65 digital camera. But then I upgraded to the Canon Powershot SD600 (6.3 megapixels). It's wicked pissah, too. I got it for cheap on Amazon.

There is even more crap hidden away within WOODGECOM. But I'll let you find it.

FEEDBACK of any kind, be it fulsome praise, baseless complaints, rambling, obscenity-laden insults, or mindless chit-chat is gleefully encouraged and I will zealously try to reply to everyone who writes. Mail is good. I like mail. Give me some.

For more nauseating flummery about me, gluttons for punishment are directed to the ABOUT WOODGE section. Better bring a bucket.

RECOMMENDATION: To view WOODGECOM as it is intended and meticulously designed, please use the Firefox browser from Mozilla. If you're using the crap-ass MS INTERNET EXPLORER browser then you really can't count yourself amongst the cool people. And more importantly IE lags behind every other browser in terms of supporting the really cool features of slick CSS. Do yourself a favor and check out Firefox. And also, catch up with the rest of us and use a screen resolution greater than 800 × 600. Sheesh. It's also best to have a sense of humor, bathe regularly, have a modicum of intelligence, and do not take everything I say seriously. Dive in with reckless abandon and enjoy. (No pushing).
